Surroundings

Cahuita National Park:

White sandy beaches full of coconut palms, a relaxed atmosphere and the total absence of stressful activities or noises: Perfect for rest.

There are three beaches next to the village;
A fence to the barrier reef that leads to Puerto Viejo,
another less frequented one, several kilometers long, north of Cahuita,
and the third that reaches the Natural Park of Cahuita.

Puerto Viejo:

White sandy beaches full of coconut palms, a relaxed atmosphere and the total absence of stressful activities or noises: Perfect for rest.

There are three beaches next to the village;
A fence to the barrier reef that leads to Puerto Viejo,
another less frequented one, several kilometers long, north of Cahuita,
and the third that reaches the Natural Park of Cahuita.

Manzanillo:

The town of Manzanillo, takes its name from the old tree that stood in the central square of the town, until it died in 1940. It is located 12 kilometers from Puerto Viejo, and is the gateway to the Gandoca-Manzanillo nature reserve.

Walking along a narrow promenade between the jungle and the sea, you will reach the wonderful beach of Punta Mona (the story goes that it was Christopher Columbus who gave it this name when he discovered the area, due to the large number of howler monkeys that inhabit it).
